Hey there! Did you know that stress can trigger or increase a person's dandruff? Well, I would know because I have been battling dandruff for years and stress definitely makes mine worse. I am always on the hunt for a remedy and I found the Sebamed anti-dandruff shampoo.

I purchased this last November because I was going to law school and I knew I would be really stressed meaning a possible bout of excessive dandruff. A healthy hair care consultant Tresscare actually recommended this to me as a possible remedy and it was a struggle to find at all the big pharmacies in Abuja. I finally found it at a supermarket for about 3000 naira or so, I can't recall the exact price.

This shampoo claimed to give me 50% less dandruff in 14 days so I had high expectations. After the first wash, I noticed that my hair felt clean, not stripped and my scalp was clean as well. After a few days, I noticed some dandruff (yes I applied oils on my scalp). After a week, I washed again and this time it took longer for the dandruff to reappear. However, despite consistent use for about two months, this shampoo did not give me 50% less dandruff. It did take longer for the dandruff to reappear between wash days but I had to wash my hair at least every two weeks.



Personally, I would not be repurchasing this product because

A) it only lasted me 2 months, basically 5/6 wash days

B) it isn't the holy grail dandruff vanquisher I hoped it would be.

I did like the fact that it was mild on my natural hair, it didn't strip my hair of its natural oils. I also liked the small packaging. I would recommend this shampoo for someone with periodic dandruff, I believe it will work for such.
