As an African, living in Africa, I didn’t hear much about sunscreen growing up. The first time I heard of it was probably in a cartoon or a movie and even then, it seemed like something only white people need because “black people don’t get sunburnt” right? Wrong! The science of sunscreen goes way beyond preventing sunburn and everybody with skin needs it!
