Haul: Lime Crime Velvetines!!!

Hello beautiful!

This post is long overdue…like a couple of months old (forgive me).

There is a story behind my purchase of these lipsticks. I had this next door neighbor last school year, Pelumi, who is obsessed with makeup and fashion. So she came to my room one evening to collect some makeup tutorials from my laptop and I decided to scan through her laptop as well. I saw a lipstick tutorial that looked very intriguing and I decided to watch it (can’t remember the Youtuber sadly). It was a lip swatch of a matte red liquid lipstick. Before that, the holy grail red lippie to me was MAC Ruby Woo but when I saw this lipstick I got confused. What was this liquid magic? And I saw the name at the end; LimeCrime Velvetine in Red Velvet. As a shopaholic, I had never seen any Nigerian online store carry this brand so I didn’t even have hope of finding it anytime soon.

Couple of days later, I saw www.accessoriesng.com announce that they had the LimeCrime Velvetine in Red Velvet for sale. I kid you not; it was literally days after I first saw that video. I just knew the devil was on top my matter. The price however,
scared me away; N5500 for just one lipstick? Nah bro, not me. A few weeks after the lipstick got sold out, I saw a picture of all the velvetines and I was in lipstick heaven. I needed Salem, Utopia, Black Velvet, Pink Velvet, Red Velvet, in fact all of them! My purse did not agree though. So I started slowly. I got Pansy first. Then Red Velvet and Pink Velvet. Then Salem. And finally, Riot.

LimeCrime has been bringing out more Velvetines since then and I hope to eventually have all of them.

Stay tuned to read my review and lip swatches of the Velvetines.

See you in my next post! Xoxo
