Happy new month! You haven't noticed that Nigerian makeup and beauty brands have been killing it this year, where have you been?! It's just so amazing to see launches and expansion in the industry. I am excited. I will be giving you some information and a mini review of the brand Beautyline by Didi and some of its products.
Beautyline by Didi used to be called BulkyOnline not too long ago, I remember I always loved their lashes. Recently the brand expanded to include other products and got a new name, I am here for the growth. The brand is Nigerian owned (obviously) and based in Lagos but they ship nationwide at an affordable rate.
When I reached out to the brand for a possible collaboration, the owner Doyinsola (Didi) was super nice and offered to send me some goodies to play with. I did pay for shipping. These are the products I was sent last month and my thoughts so far.
I was pleasantly intrigued with the various shapes and sizes of beauty blenders
I had not used a beauty blender for awhile before I received these. I generally preferred using a kabuki brush to blend out my foundation, that has definitely changed. These beauty blenders are so soft even before I damped them and I particularly love the smaller ones for getting to hard to teach places like my inner corners and sides of my nose. These give my face makeup a flawless finish that I just can't get with a brush.
Left: Mink lashes Right: Silk lashes
Lashes are a makeup lover's best friend, they are the perfect ingredient when you wanna look beat for the makeup gods. I had never used silk lashes before so I was excited to try it out. The silk lash is awesome but this mink lash is AMAZING. It is unlike anything I have ever tried before, very lightweight and looks so natural, it is currently my go-to lash. I have tried out the silk lash in the style Fatima and it was a little too long for my personal taste but it looked nice. I am saving it for a client that likes something extra.
Matte liquid lipsticks in Choco and Claro
Since I am a nude lipstick junkie, I immediately fell on love with Choco. It is a brownish nude shade with orange undertones, quite a unique shade. Claro is actually a clear gloss (but it is labeled as a matte pigment lol), I like that it is not sticky. I like the packaging of these lipsticks.
Yes I have joined the #browgasm gang
This brow product basically broke the Nigerian beauty internet a few months ago. As you know, my zaron cosmetics brow definer has been my holy grail for years so I was skeptical about this pencil. I have been pleasantly surprised by this bad boy. The slim applicator allows for hair-like brush strokes creating the perfect natural looking brow. I have found myself reaching for this pencil often and I am happy with it so far. The packaging is also so convenient and chic, who doesn't need an extra spoolie?
Are you a legit makeup artist if you don't own this?
If you are into mixing and matching while doing makeup, a palette and spatula is very essential as using the back on one's hand can be unsanitary. As a makeup artist who works on clients, I will find this tool very useful.
The brand has good customer service and promptly responds to all my questions and requests via Instagram dm.
You can find them on Instagram @beautylinebydidi. The browgasm pencil is even available for international shipping here.
Good products, great price!
Have you tried out silk lashes before? Will you wanna try it out? What's your favorite among these products? Leave me a comment 💜

You have this way of making these makeup and beauty things seem interesting. Nice. Hey, I'm not saying they are not o (before somebody would chook finger in my eye). Keep it up, Miss.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos in this post and the pops of colour! Thank goodness they allowed you to collaborate with them, because the outcome looks really nice! I'm actually happy to see a price list for once instead of having to painstakingly send DMs and wait for a reply. Will put this line in the back of my mind for when I want to splurge on makeup!
