Growing up, whenever I complained that my hair was dry, someone would say “oil your hair”. That analogy makes no sense because when you are thirsty, you don’t drink oil right? You drink water. So when hair feels dry, it needs moisture; that’s why a leave in conditioner that provides moisture is essential for healthy longer hair. It's even more awesome when it balances moisture and protein.

I got the Profectiv MegaGrowth Daily Leave-in Strengthener at the Invivo store in Ceddi Plaza Abuja for 2500 naira after I used Patsy’s own a few times and liked it.



The product comes in a tub containing 15 ounces of product. It claims to defend against breakage, split ends and dryness by helping strengthen hair deep inside, detangle, soften and silken hair among other things. The product contains amazing ingredients like water (tip: always make sure this is the first thing on the ingredient list of any product you purchase to hydrate your hair), avocado oil, olive oil, almond oil, soy protein, what protein, vegetable protein, argan oil and glycerin. The product itself is thick, pink and smells yummy.

So far, I have really liked using this product. I use it after I wash my hair, deep condition and it dries a little bit or during the week when my hair feels dry. I always make sure I lock in the moisture with a sealant (I have written about moisturising and sealing before). It provides my hair with a great amount of moisturise and all the ingredients are amazing giving added benefits to my mane. Since, my hair has high porosity, I appreciate the variety of proteins in this leave in conditioner (if this sounds like gibberish to you, learn more about hair porosity and protein balance). I have learnt that my hair likes thick products so the consistency of this product is perfect for me. I LOVE the smell of this product (my mum doesn’t like the smell lol). I have noticed less breakage and a generally stronger mane with consistent use of this product.



I will definitely repurchase this product when I run out. This brand also has a deep conditioner that looks almost identical to this one that I want to try out soon.
